What stays on your iPhone
Your recordings, transcripts, marks, notes and edits are stored on your iPhone, inside the app. We have no servers that receive them, and we can’t see them.
Microphone
The app asks for microphone access so it can record. Audio is used only to make your recording, and is saved only on your iPhone (or in your iCloud if you turn that on).
Transcripts
Transcripts are made on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device speech recognition. Your audio and the words are not sent to us or to any other company by the app.
iCloud (optional)
If you turn on Save in iCloud in the Menu, recordings are stored in your own iCloud Drive under your Apple Account, handled by Apple. It’s off unless you switch it on. We don’t have access to your iCloud.
Purchases
Psalmist Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment. We receive no payment details, name or email address from you.
Third parties
The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools. MP3 export uses the open-source LAME encoder, which runs entirely on your iPhone.
This website
This website doesn’t use cookies or analytics. If you email us for support, we use your message and address only to reply to you.
Children
The app doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version and its date will appear on this page.
